What should I know about the proper storage of eggs?

Don’t store eggs in the refrigerator door. The temperature there varies too much. Also, keep eggs stored in the carton they came in to protect them from the other elements in your refrigerator and reduce risk of cracking. In other words, despite rumors to the contrary, it actually IS advisable to keep all your eggs in one basket.
