Guacamole

Like tomatoes, avocados are actually fruits that often are confused with vegetables. Both avocados and tomatoes are key ingredients of processed or homemade guacamole. Because it is processed, pasteurized, and packaged under highly controlled conditions,  processed guacamole generally lasts longer than homemade guacamole. The latter should be consumed within 1-3 days of preparing it.
