Cherries

Fresh cherries are extremely delicate and don't do well when stored in warm environments. They are especially sensitive to sunlight. Since cherries don't continue to ripen once they've been picked, it's advisable to refrigerate them as soon as you get them home. If possible, store them in the coolest section of your refrigerator. These areas include the refrigerator's bottom interior. Door shelves are comparatively warmer.
