What are the advantages of freezer jam over traditional jelly, jam, and preserves?

The advantages of freezer jam are that it can be made with very little (or no) sugar, so diabetics can eat it, and it’s mostly fruit, not mostly sugar like other jam, so it is healthier.  (Other sweeteners can be used to improve the flavor.)  Also, since it has never  been cooked or canned, the fruit tastes fresh. Furthermore, it is less work to make and won’t heat up the whole kitchen in the summer time.

You can make either freezer jam or freezer preserves, but jam is preferable. Because it has more uniform-sized pieces, it freezes and thaws more evenly, allowing the water to stay in the fruit longer instead of separating out.

It is very good, like eating fresh fruit that is thicker.
