How should tea be stored?

Across the board, everyone seems to agree that tea should be stored a) in an airtight, opaque (NOT glass or plastic) container; b) in a cool, dry place; and c) away from foods with strong odors. (Apparently, tea absorbs other odors easily, so you probably don't want to store it next to the garlic bulbs.)

In short, tea should be treated as one would a delicate spice. Its enemies are heat, light, moisture, and other odors. An airtight tin is the ideal vessel for tea preservation.
