Can I freeze rice once it’s been cooked?

Yes. Be sure the rice is dry before freezing it. To avoid freezer burn, place the rice in an oxygen-free freezer bag or an airtight plastic container. The more you fill the bag or container, the less room there is for oxygen, the source of freezer burn. If you store the rice in a plastic container, leave an inch or two of headroom to accommodate expansion.

Rice should be consumed within 6 months of freezing it.
