Can I freeze raw spinach?
Yes, but be sure to blanch it first to maintain product integrity. Blanching should last no more than 30 seconds. Make sure you have a sufficient quantity of water boiling to avoid a temperature drop when you add the spinach. Cool the spinach in an ice and water bath immediately after blanching.
Frozen spinach should be consumed within 8 months.
