Shelf life of coffee and tea

Coffee and tea transcend borders and cultures. Their stimulative effects account for only some of their popularity. Their chief selling point: flavors and formats to suit seemingly any taste.

Among coffees, lattes and cappuccinos are particularly popular. For the uninitiated, lattes are simply strong espressos served with a topping of frothed, steamed milk. Cappuccinos are similar but are prepared with much less steam or milk.

Tea is even more popular than coffee. After water, it is the most widely consumed beverage in the world. Once again, varieties abound, though the four most common types are black tea, oolong tea, green tea, and white tea.
