Raw Alfalfa Sprouts Recalled---AGAIN

SproutsAn important reminder: if you’re eating raw alfalfa sprouts, you’re risking food-borne illness. So far this summer there have been at least three recalls of this product, one because of possible salmonella and, more recently (July 23), for possible listeria.  If you live in the Northeast and have raw sprouts in your refrigerator now, check on this latest recall at this link: http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm220174.htm

Our advice: if you love sprouts and hate being sick, cook them before consuming them.
