Is pasteurization required by federal law?

If sold in interstate commerce, fresh juice and juice products that have not been pasteurized or heat processed in some other effective way must show a warning on the package label.  In some states, exceptions to this ruling are juices made locally, such as apple cider or juice from a nearby orchard and juice bars and restaurants that sell freshly squeezed and pressed juice to drink immediately.
