How long after purchase will potatoes remain good to eat?

If stored in a dark, dry, cool place, whole potatoes will keep up to a month if stored at or near the ideal temperature of 55 degrees F., just below the soil temperature at which most plants germinate.
Frozen, store-bought potato products should be consumed within 8 months of purchase.
