Does white sugar contain chemicals or go through a bleaching process?
No. Table sugar is the same as it is in the plants from which it came. No bleaching is necessary because sugar crystals are colorless. The molasses naturally present in sugar beet and sugar cane is processed out of the sugar without the use of chemicals.
