Can I freeze cooked beef?

Yes, though it won't keep as well as frozen raw beef because cooked beef contains less moisture.
As a result, it is more prone to freezer burn--a form of drying that occurs when the beef encounters
air. One strategy is to store the beef with a gravy, broth, or sauce that will fill space otherwise
occupied by air. Even then, the beef should be consumed within 3 months.
