How should processed pasta sauce be prepared?
For stove-top heating, pour the sauce into a saucepan, heat slowly, and stir occasionally until it is hot. For microwave heating, pour the sauce into a microwave-safe dish, cover the dish loosely with plastic wrap, and heat it. Be careful when removing the wrap, as the sauce may be very hot. Pasta sauce should be heated to a temperature of 165°F.
