How long after purchase will baking soda or baking powder remain good to use?
Processors recommend that baking soda and baking powder be used within 6-12 months of purchase. However, some studies suggest baking powder may keep up to 18 months and baking soda up to 2 years if they are covered and kept dry. Other studies suggest baking soda will keep indefinitely if stored under these conditions.
